Rose Chocolate Almond Cookies

It was my friend's birthday this past week and I decided to make her some cookies in honor of her Middle Eastern roots. Rose water is used in a lot of their desserts and thought it would be a good spin to our classic chocolate chips cookies. Well, she loved them, so now I'm thinking of making these available on my Etsy shop. What do you think?

Earl the Great White Berry Cookies

Earl grey lavender with white chocolate chips and homemade mixed berry preserves. Taste test success with minor tweaks for the future. Well, a batch of them came out flat, so I'm gonna have to adjust my recipe or freeze the dough before baking. Less sugar as well, since the white chocolate chips make the dough even sweeter. The flavor, however, is sensational. It's an instant Monster classic!

Chocolate Cake with Rooibos Chai Frosting and Chocolate Ganache

Wow. What a mouthful. This was a cake for the most loving, inspiring, intelligent and wisest man I have the privilege of knowing. There aren't many people on earth who are like him and I cherish every moment I get to spend with him. For his birthday, I decided to infuse Rooibos Chai in the frosting and Rooibos tea in the ganache—a tribute to his South African roots. Since the flavors are the star of the cake, I went with a simple and elegant look—with less frills—suited for a man with good taste. Friends, life is too short for beautiful moments (and too long for rough ones), so spend more time with the special people in your lives.
